Guardians of the North by ChrisG Webb
Beneath the endless Arctic sky,
Where frozen seas and icebergs lie,
The polar bear, so proud and grand,
Roams the wilds of Canada’s land.
A hunter’s grace, a silent stride,
On shifting ice, they seek and glide,
Their world of white, a frozen throne,
A realm of beauty all their own.
In Churchill’s winds, their whispers call,
Through Nunavut’s vast, snow-cloaked sprawl,
From Hudson Bay to Beaufort’s shore,

They reign where few dare to explore.
The Inuit sing of their ancient lore,
Of bears that roamed these lands before,
Symbols of strength, of life, of peace,
Tied to the Arctic’s endless fleece.
Yet melting ice betrays their way,
A warming world turns white to grey,
Their kingdom fades, the cold retreats,
A fragile throne beneath their feet.
Oh Canada, land of the bear,
Guardians of this realm so rare,
May your hands shield their icy keep,
And let their legacy run deep.
For as the North winds shift and moan,
The polar bear must not stand alone.
In Canada’s heart, their spirit resides,
A bond unbroken, as time abides.
